As I have always said there are three sets of time to look at. The very short term, that is dominated by the aspects of the Moon. Then there is the one above, that deals with Mars Sun Venus Mercury. Finally we have the slow moving ones from Asteroids on out. You need all three to make a good decision. But the above table is not bad. You can see that there is a period of soft aspects coming along. Soft aspects help us to expand and take risks. It all expands. The opposite is the hard aspected periods when we are get very cautious and move into bonds etc etc. So have a splash. Go for it! Yeah!

Above are the exact aspects for the moment the Non-Farm Payroll Data are released. As you can see most of the aspects are D's and then they become U's just after the announcement. U's tend to help more speculative trades. This week we saw how the overall U aspects have rocketed the stock markets. In particular the strong U's yesterday exploded the markets up. So the same positive feeling will happen, no matter if the data is "good" or "bad". Expect the US bond market to cave in. And then we end in D's. So it will all go the other way. But hey it all could be wrong. Please treat this as light entertainment. It is wrong most of the time.

Above is a table showing the aspects Mars is making to the slower stellar entities, as it passes through Leo in 2011. Simply put, this week and the first week of November have focused soft aspects. Now remember that Mars should be used with the other planets, that change their aspects more frequently, like Mercury, Venus and the aspects of the Sun, if you want to get a good idea what it will be like from one week to the next.

For daily signals you need to look at the aspects of the Moon as well. And you need all of them if you are trading from one minute to the next. And it is not that accurate. It is just another guide. Either way, it does not look too promising, if you think this market has bottomed out, if D produces a down for you, at what you call your market. You need to look at Mars in Cancer, Gemini to see what those aspects did at, whatever it is you are looking at, and then extrapolate. If there is a correlation, then hey you have cracked it for your market.

Detailed Aspects including Moon

The angles that the Moon, Planets, and other stellar entities make effect everything. The New Moon in Virgo for 2011 is not as important as the other delineations being made in our solar system, when we are looking at events that cover a longer period than two hours.

Look at the aspects below. The table is not like ordinary astrology you see elsewhere. I have filtered out the strongest aspects of planets and stellar entities. I then found moments when they are mostly of one type or another. I normally use them to map out the moods of the traders on the markets. But these aspects are affecting the whole of the planet Earth.

The sceptic would say, "hey I don't care what you have done, as long as it is consistent". Well that is why I have put the past there. This way we can see what it is in the Astrology that makes this time period when Hurricane Irene is around different.

You will see U and D and they are used for traders to simplify ups and downs, not literally. For the purposes of this exercise I would say that the U refers to high energy times and D when the energy is not high or it is calm.

Major Aspects of the Mercury Venus and Sun

Now you can see we have a surge from a D to a U just about now in the aspects made by the Planets focused on Earth. The previous table showed the moment for the New Moon. So that is why there is quite a lot of energy around and the Hurricane is as strong as it is.

Mind you it is not always this clear. This is not scientific and I make no claims. Treat it as entertainment. Either way the rest of the week is nice. Rock and roll for the markets!

I am off this week from my normal day job so I am able to put a bit more time into stockstars. So I have taken an example of what I call the hourly report. Coincidence has it that someone had just recently inquired about this report, so I thought I would explain it all for all again.

Background
What I do is nothing more that get the hold of all the aspects all the planets and Moon make to each other, and then just filter out the angles or aspects that are important. Why I have selected those aspects is a whole other story. Then I go and bunch up the moments when we have ones that are hard and moments that we have soft ones. U refers to the ones that are soft, because soft ones tend to, and I must stress "tend to", stop down trends, and help up trends. The opposite is for D. But that is not the whole story. Wish it was. I am poor, and bad at trading, so this system is far from perfect. Why is not perfect, because there are moments when the aspects are not there, or not many of them are there. Ok then maybe the market should be flat or mixed. Hmm, ok, but not always. Other factor are there which are related to the state of the market itself. Sometimes I see that the aspects are saying it is up, but then some economic stats or company stats hits the newswires and it all goes pear shaped. Like yesterday. Dell had bad news to give the world. Many knew this but were not going to go long with the aspects. And the market did not go up as much before the news was broadcasts to the general public. And the aspects were not that focused. So if you see a disconnect, when the aspects are strong and focused then beware of insider trading. Those situations are usually very short lived as the news always hits for a millisecond. But we can have a focussed moment of an hour or so and it tends to over ride any manipulation. So when we have a focused period it is very good. If only if.

Today's aspects
Now let us look at today's aspects for EU and US trading. You can see the Us and the Ds on the right. They are a summary of the U u and D and d in what Astrologers call an Aspectarian. My aspects are different than other techniques used in other parts of the world of Astrology. I use exact aspects and I use a lot more planets and other stellar entities not commonly referred to in the back of magazines. But I do not bother to go into all the various meanings as that would take far too long. I just simplify it all for the sake of applying to the mood of the moment. So in these aspects work in the real everyday world. That is why they effect the markets as well. So it is the market that is wrong when there is a disconnect.

It is always fun to look at astrology of the moment of the announcement of the US Non Farm Payroll data. It happens at 12:30 GMT or around where I have put the arrow on the table above. I wish I could say that there were a lot of aspects (angles between Planets or Moon and Planets). I have picked the periods in the day when there are a few or more exact aspects of hard (D) or soft ones (U). There are loads of short period pairs of aspects, and that means there is no real conviction as it were. So we look at the back ground aspects such as the ones involving Mercury Venus and Sun and Mars, and then you can see they are supportive of the market. So all in all it looks supportive, which means that it is easier to go up, and harder to go down. But I think it will be a bit of an anti-climax either way, as massive moves usually have more aspects involved. And if I was right, I would be a zillionnaire. lol.

If you looked at the Mars table you would have seen that it has a number of soft aspects from 27th April. Within that period we have Mercury Venus and Sun being soft. Within that period we have the Moon getting soft at certain times with major aspects (>80 degrees). So it should be a strong reaction, normally up in a high volume stock index like Dow Jones or S&P futures. Of course all bets are off if the market decides to halt trading because a major announcement is being made by a central banker. So volume is key. All times GMT.

Compare this table with the one for last week (11-15 April 2011), and see what the difference are in the distribution of aspects. I have not changed any of the parameters apart from the date range. If you look at the Mars table you will see that it is still showing D. So the moments when we have Ds in this table, and the daily one, should be the most powerful for a D situation.

Above you will see the table of aspects for Monday (tomorrow) 18th April 2011. If you look at the table above that you can see that it shows a D for Monday. In this table we can see the major aspects of the Moon, not all the aspects. Again you can see moments in the day when there are a lot of Us and Ds. Now, as I said last week, there are times when the Moon is making Us when all the other planets are making Ds. As the other planets' aspects last longer, then you would expect the Moon's effect to be less. So it will be like an uptrend in a major down wave. You need to establish the long term trend correlations for the market you are looking at, and then make the adjustments. Remember stick to high volume products and times are all GMT.

What I have done is not what most ordinary Astrologers do. I have not only selected a special set of aspects, but then selected the most powerful ones for Mars only. What that does, is to filter out a lot of the minor aspects, that can confuse. The big D in the middle shows the period when the hard aspects are strongest for a long time, after the soft aspected periods marked by the two Us before and after it. M means mixed. This type of analysis is not the only thing you need to do if you want to understand the Astrology of the market. You need to also look at the faster entities in our solar system. So you need to look at the movement of Venus Sun and Mercury. They produce a lot of angles and it is not practical to produce all that data for the whole month. And then you have the aspects that the Moon is making from one minute to the next to everything else. There are two tables above. One for all the major aspects for Tuesday 12 April 2011. The one below is the one for this week from 11th to 15th April 2011. I have chosen just the Tuesday so that we can focus in on the moment when everything is soft. So just look at the table below it, and see the aspects for Tuesday which are soft. Then find the moment when the Moon is there with soft aspects. Now you will notice that there are periods of hard aspects that are made by just the Moon on its own. This is when we have one entity, namely the Moon, going counter to the other entities. So that means that it should not be that powerful. There are those who disagree, and just look at the Moon. Let's see. The wonderful thing is, that I have seen the Moon do this so many times. We should theoretically get a move down in an otherwise broader up trend for the day, or maybe the market would just hold and the volume would fall. That way everybody would be happy. Now as I have included last week's data, you should be able to see if there is any correlation to the market you are looking at. If there is no correlation, then check the volume. These aspects work well with high volume markets what ever the flavour is.

Sometimes it is really easy to see very clear correlations if you look at the other faster moving planets like Mercury Venus and the Sun. As you can see in the previous report, Mars gives a generalised indication, but within that the other faster entities will show the day by day aspects. When all in the same harmony you get a strong move. So when Mars is hard, and you have Mercury Venus and the Sun hard too, then the effect is very strong. In the wake of the Japanese Earthquake the markets did fairly well, some rising after the initial drop. Look at the U zone above. Now look at the D zone for the rest of this week.

Well, I just found out that the last post was a year out. I did the scan for next year by mistake. Ok, here we go again. Again the same concepts apply. Look for moments when there are lots of Us or Ds. The funny part is that it is not that different. I cannot fit more than this. What I do is to look for the moments when we have a few of Us or Ds, then zoom into the day and see if there are Moon aspects doing the same for a number of minutes. Find a high volume market and see if it correlates. If you look at a market and it does not correlate for a while then the volume would be dropping. Remember this is only for entertainment purposes. It is wrong a lot of the time, or to put it the other way round, you need to know when it can go wrong. That only comes with experience, something I have a lot of white hair to show for. If it was simple, I would be very rich and I am not. Hopefully you can figure it all out and post it somewhere to share with all.

Mars December 2010 to January 2011

Table above shows the position of Mars in December 2010 and January 2011. U and u mean up times, D and d mean down times. Don't take them literally. Their effect is greatest when there is a focus of them.

Above is a typical report I produce. On the right you can see the D and U, which correspond to periods when there are a number of similar aspects. Hard aspects make the up move difficult, and the down moves easier. Soft aspects are the other way round. As you can see there are a lot of Ds around the 1:30 GMT when the US non-farm payroll data is released. If the logical reasoning is for the market to go up, then it will have a hard time. If the figures are bad and the market is going down anyway, then it will really go down. Have fun looking at the correlation. Do not trade on this as this is for entertainment purposes only.

It is not always that you get a good mix of softs (u or U) and hard (d or D) aspects in a day. When they are less than 15 mins apart then I refer to that time period as a focused period. Then the high volume market or stocks move well. There is more to all this, and that is what the detailed reports are all about. Times are GMT.

Astrology of US Jobs day Friday 8th October 2010

When I looked at today's Aspectarian show above, I thought with all the tension leading up to the US Jobs data, it is all going to be an anti climax (lots of mixed aspects M). So did not bother to put it up. Now I see it turned out to be just that. We are in the last U as you can see, and so even the figures were bad, the mood of the people is good and they will try to find the good news wherever it is. And that is essentially why markets move the way they do.

Have a look at the two tables above. The top one is for August and the one below is for September. We all know that the markets went down in August and up in September. With these reports in advance you would have known that already.

It is not perfect, but with more detailed knowledge from more detailed analysis you would get a lot more accuracy. But simplicity is best. And this is as clear and simple as it gets.

Above is the table of aspects for Friday 5th August 2010. The times are in GMT. So the the all important US unemployment figures will be announced at 12:30 GMT. The aspects are hard in that period until 02:42 GMT or 10:42 EDT. But from then on until 04:09 PM GMT or 12:09 EDT the aspects will be soft. The it will get weak either way and you can see the times yourself, until the close when the hards have the way.

So looking at the non-lunar aspects, as the weekly report shows, is fairly good, but one needs to look at the lunar aspects as well.

Above are tables showing the planets' aspects that are strongest, either because they are soft or because they are hard. You can see the periods when there are a lot of U's or D's. That means we have a focus of aspects. Now we all have just witnessed a good 7 days of some 7% move up in this 7th month of the year. If you look at the aspects you will see that there are more U's at the moment, compared to last month.

These tables can be created for any time. So as you can imagine I can produce the ones for next week, and so on. It is not perfect, but there is nothing out there that beats it.

Above is the table of aspect that are more than 80 degrees for the past 5 days. You get much more detail if you had more angles and included the ones made by Moon. But this rough guide still correlates well to the results below, and especially if you compare it to a similar one for last week, or next week. You can then see the big differences. That is only available upon subscription. For now you can see that there are some hards near the end of the day. If you knew what the Moon was doing then you would know exactly what to do as a day trader. But again that info is available upon subscription only.

What I decided to do, was to filter out the weak aspects. These are aspects that are less than 80 degrees. See if that makes a clearer correlation. Happy trading in what looks as a tough ending after some bouyancy midday.

Have a look at this contrast. But see if you can understand the period I have market with question mark. As usual it is all GMT. US is four hours behind GMT, so the market there closes at 8pm GMT.

And below is what actually happened. Going back and looking at the aspects, you can see the close correlation to most of it. The areas where the correlation slips are shown too. And in hindsight you can see that some of the aspects should have been taken more seriously.

So that is why this is not perfect. But it is very interesting, and should be used in the right situations only.

Now if the market is going down in the Up period, then it will be difficult for the market to keep going down. And vice-versa. Simple. Test it, and see if it works. It can't be clearer.

As you can see there were some Up aspects, and Down aspects, that I have circled, which correlate with the chart of the Dow. These are just Planetary aspects, and the Moon ones have been left out. If you have them, then you can really see the close relationships at 15 mins intervals or less..

Astrology for 24-28 May 2010 - Fast Planets

I am calling it fast planets, because I am looking at Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars versus the others this week. As you can see the number of D's and d's is everywhere apart from around the 26th, where you see U's and u's. But you cannot generalise that easily. You need to look at the Lunar aspects as well to get the minute by minute trading right. As I have said, if we have a period when you get a decent set of Lunar aspects, and that they are the same as the up coming planetary aspect, then there are good reasons to get some decent correlations. If not, then we have to follow the fast planets. For explanations you need to have a one-on-one with me at a cost.

Sometimes you want a simple view of what the fast moving stellar entities are doing. It is very a useful scan if you want to know what the background that is changing a lot, like the fast moving planets and Sun. These are Mercury, Venus, Mars and Sun.

Sometimes you look at events, announcements, and you try to see if the stellar aspects will effect it. Let's take the dive on Wall Street with regard to the Goldman Sachs.

Now put these two concepts together, and you get what many call Horary Astrology. I am not strictly going by Horary rules here, but a lot of this applies.

So what is the bottom line. Lots of D and d as you can see. Obviously we need the lunar aspects, and all of the other exact aspects to have the complete picture, as you saw on Wednesday.

Above are images of a software I use to generate what are called Aspectarians. I was over at an Astrology forum today, where I was rather surprised to find how unaware some people are. So for the sake of truth, look and learn. I have made it really easy. Look at the number of U or u (for up forces) and D or d (for down forces). These are exact aspects, so anyone should be able to recreate them. You will see why the markets have moved the way they have. I cannot codify all the aspects to Us and Ds.

Of course there are even more accurate minute by minute tables as well. But good old Mars has been forecasting the big moves for thousands of years.

You can see that yesterday the 5th November there were more soft aspects, and we know that the US market went up. Now look at the aspects for today the 6th November. We have more hards. So it is easier for the markets to go down. Now either they will follow the aspects, or they don't and their volume will decline instead.

This what I meant when I said wait for the end of the week and whether the faster entities were building on top of the slower entities' hard aspects. Your eye should pick up on the three DDD from 03:26 to 04:50. There are two hard aspects before them d and a disinclination (2:35). The bulls get their turn from 5:14 to 5:28 with Uuu. Work out the rest yourself. The key is, to have as many that are not too far and not too close. One of the same type every 10 mins in 30 mins, that is three of them gives a good move. I have seen some good moves with two powerful aspects (either a U or D) that are 15 mins apart. There are some good moves today, whatever your view is. Enjoy!

Oh btw all week I have been thinking the US is EST, and of course they are EDT still until Sunday 1st November. These times are GMT. So US starts at 1:30pm GMT. Luckily not a lot changes.

Compare this table with the one for yesterday. The first thing I noticed was that we don't have a lot of Us, with just a two minute episode at 06:21 with a u and a U. We have more Ds. The 04:01 aspect is a hard aspect. We have a lot more hards that is Ds and ds, within and leading up to a background hard D aspect of Venus at 07:58pm. And to make sure the pressure is on, we have a d 08:48pm GMT (03:48pm EST). Watch the market as we get close to those times and make up your own mind. What I am doing now, is to show you just before the close what the aspects for US trading session were, that explains why it was a bit boring with little focus of strong aspects in a 30 min time period. Compare that to tomorrow. Tomorrow is odd as there are no aspects until lunch US (5:45pm GMT = 12:45pm EST). Now look at the uUUU sequence in a tight time span. That is quite a lot of punches of strong aspects. As I mentioned in the other email with Mars and Asteroids, there was a moment this week which we will get a momentary pop, or a moment to get short, if you have not already. I also said that you will only surely be able to verify that once the faster bodies are doing the same. Well here it is. Let's see what happens. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. I am not making any of this up. All this is produced by well known winstar plus software.

This table was created to see how really useful it could be. The one before was just Mars. This one includes the Asteroids as well. I find the faster entities eg: Venus, Mars, Sun, and Moon, have to be included for looking from one hour to the next, but not in this sort of time period.

Immediately you can see how much more D or d there are for last week. And the same is true for the coming week with the Ds there from 28th. There are a couple of ups on 28th and 29th with a U and a u, but those three downs will give it a sour ending for the week.

Obviously we can get a lot more accurate with the hourly aspects thrown in. Remember all this is for fun, and for goodness sake, don't for one moment think that it works.

Aspects of Mars in October vs the Markets

Sometimes it takes ages to come up with a very simple solution. The other day I was having a conversation with the tech section of the people who produce the software I use, called Winstar, about how it is difficult to make some representations, and I learnt that you can put your own symbols in if you want.

If you look at the table above, it has the letters D for big down, d for little down, U for big up, and u for little down. The other ones you can ask me about. The actual positions are given, so you should be able to figure it out, if you anything about Astrology.

Now, here is a little analysis for you. Look at the number of Us and you can see how Mars has managed to keep the markets up. It is really the people's optimism that the soft Mars aspects help. Hard aspects as shown by D or d, will give a negative twist to everything. So the theory is, that if we see load of either, then there is an effect.

But nothing is that simple. It fails a lot of the times, and I have lived long enough to be the first to admit when it has. This is an on going experiment. Heck it has been going now for nearly thirty years for me.

Coming softs between Mars and Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto

If you look at the major aspects (those that are greater than 80 degrees) between Mars and the outer planets Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, you will see that from now on until first week of November there is an abnormally high concentration of soft aspects.

Now Astrologers get all confused about which set of aspects to use. But there is a lot in just using Mars, and there is a lot in looking at the major aspects. But there is a hell of a lot of truth if you see a stretch of uninterrupted soft aspects for one month.

And ironically it is October. Who said October is a bad month.
